Re: Wormy lost in the wilderness again
I checked the sources on the server and that fix has been implemented. If we're getting uniques in the wilderness still there's something we're missing.

We're really going to have to implement the sliders on those ZAngband vaults one of these days... :-) (abc etc. cause you to slide in one direction)

Re: Server Down ?
We had some problems with the machine that runs the two main servers last night, and once they were fixed the games servers didn't automatically start. :-( It's fixed now and we'll work toward getting the automation a bit more robust...

Re: Couldn't connect to server, keep trying [y/n]?
Sure sounds like the firewall is getting in the way. Are you sure the ports are being let through via adding the .exe to the exceptions list? You can always sniff the port using MS Network Monitor, but if you're trying to come into the local machine from the local machine using it's IP address it mi...

Re: Smaegol without drops
F:DROP_90 | DROP_GOOD | DROP_GREAT When Smeagol is killed for the first time by a player (as in your case) he tries to drop 90% of the time, the other 10% of the time he doesn't drop. When he drops, his drop is first forced to be a 'good' drop and then forced to be a 'great' drop. We take this two s...

Re: I can't use the escape key
Unfortunately I think it'd require either a duplicate set of macro files or a hard coded set of default macros. Neither one would help keep things portable. Better if someone would write a nifty standalone macro editor (or provide us with a diff that implements it in the game!) that keeps a set of d...

Re: I can't use the escape key
Go into the macro menu and choose to save the file. That will tell you what the filename is where you saved the bad macros. Then navigate to the MAngband directory, go to libs then to user. In there you'll find the file you've edited. Best is to restore the file to the one that came with the game or...

Re: I can't use the escape key
Sounds like you've accidentally remapped the escape key by creating a macro that uses it. To replace that macro, create an identity macro for the escape key. That will override the bad one with something that works right. :-)

I currently see Billsey, Flambard, Jug-, mangband, and Warrior on #mangband-dev. (The - in Jug- means he's AFK)silicontrip wrote:I've been sitting on irc on and off for the last few days and only have seen nopaste and Kurzel, on the channel. Am I in the right place?

Re: Preliminary Native OSX version
I'm on west coast US time, Jug is on GMT or close to it, Warrior is an hour or two east of him and Flambard is on Moscow time. You can expect any of us to be potentially active anytime between morning to late night, except Flambard who's been known to work though to tomorrow noon on occasion. :-) Ch...
