Re: Item Inscription Guide

The @ inscription can work without being bound to a specific command, like this: @1, @2, etc. This causes it to be bound to EVERY command. So if you inscribed a book @1, then you can cast, browse, and gain spells from the book with m1, b1, and G1. Items higher in the inventory take precedence when ...

Item Inscription Guide

I saw in the "Wish List / Think tank" that some kind of guide to inscribing items would be useful, so I'll just start one, then someone else can add to it: ! = NOT Available commands: d = drop s = sell k = destroy f = fire v = throw E = eat Usage: Inscribe an item with the following syntax {!dks} (i...

Shopping list

Right, so now we have a live map of the player shops, even with colors that indicates what color the door has (I know it says that it categorizes the shops, but in reality you can put anything in them). But we still have to run around to every shop to see what they offer, and their prices. What if t...

2150 ft

I was killed by an Achient multi-hued dragon at 2150 ft, huge open room, so most of my stuff should be ok.
Currently I'm in the wall somewhere, with a ghost monster following me throgh walls hitting me, and I cannot see it, I was a 3 last time I logged in...

Re: Retired characters not listed in stats

After killing morgy? Did I miss the first morgy-kill on the new instance?
Or are you talking about a pre-restart happening? If so, he will be listed in the old high-scores, not the new ones...

Slap me someone if I'm talking rubbish here...

Re: Client crashes when I make a certain macro.

Client crashes when I make a certain macro using CTRL + ½. I dunno if it has to do with scandinavian keyboard setup, but it's kinda weird. The macro I tried to put in there was \eq3. ZAL Umm, out of curiosity, where's the ½ key? Cause I could test it, since we have same keyboard setup (at least I s...

Re: Stacking telepathy

Well, a kind of stat for telepathy would be cool, like the infravision - Though this would make telepathy items varying in usefullness -- Ofcorse, if you only added so that it increased with say 2 squares for each extra item with telepathy it could work nicely. That said, I'm accually quite happy wi...

Re: Moving diagonally

Alternative costs more: Buy another laptop :) Since mine was already from the stone ages I bought a new machine. Or buy a keyboard to your laptop for that sake (you can even buy just a numpad) But I agree that the combo-arrow-key would be nice Would that not be easy to set up as a macro? *looks int...

Re: ...every time I get an item of speed...

Sounds like you had quite an adventure, ace. Sorry I mislead you, but the level was a piece of cake before I died. Thanks, to both of you! I should be on at some point later, or something. I don't think ace had much to do with this, but ok :P I myself haven't done much either, just sitting on the i...

xFire

Hey The other day I just got this idea, I figured I wanted to see MAngband registered with xFire. That way, people can see what I play and maybe some more people would want to try the game (never hurts with some fresh blood in here eh?) I posted it on their suggestion forum, and so far there is 1 pe...
