Re: Stats script for your own server?
No, not currently. The MAngband Project hasn't yet released a "stats script". We have a whole load of interrelated hacks for mangband.org itself, databases based on text file parsers based on cron based on wiki plugins based on custom php hacks based on voodoo based on witchcraft. :-) For a small pr...

Re: Entering as Dungeon Master?
Just login as the character you've defined in mangband.cfg. This is "Gandalf" by default.

Re: Artefacts may only be found once
That's an interesting idea Ace. Let me try an explain why we probably wouldn't want to do this. We don't really believe in ghosts. :) They aren't a feature of Angband. We would turn them off completely (in fact I think we did, briefly) if we could. Long, long ago the network code in MAngband was a l...

Re: Can We Have a Level One Weekend or Something?
We have Russian players! :)that would probably cut off most of Eastern Europe and Asia, but I don't think this game has a big player base there anyway

Re: Still Waiting for Windows Server
However, if you downloaded that installer before the date/time of this message (Sun 20th July 19:00 UTC) you may want to download the installer again. There was a minor error in the previous package which will cause beam effects to behave oddly, the installer has since been updated to fix this issue.

Re: Changes to Housing
No. Combined structures like this will either count as 1 towards the current limit of 2 or maybe not counted as part of that limit at all.

After discussion with the Project Team this evening, I can qualify Billsey's comment and say this release will be within the next couple of weeks.

There is in fact a tutorial on compiling for Windows kindly put together by Murdin here. So if you really wanted to go for compiling it yourself it is possible. :)

Changes to Housing
Hello! Houses are now limited to 2 per character. This has some subtle game rebalancing effects and means there will generally be more housing available in the future. Characters who currently have more than 2 houses won't lose their existing houses, but they will be unable to buy more and they will...

Re: Focus on the New User
Oh, also on the documentation front, it's probably worth knowing that we have requested (and received) permission to use the Angband User Manual as a basis for a MAngband Manual. Just no one has yet volunteered to MAngbandise that document in our wiki.
