Re: **MAngband Team Speak**
Is this teamspeak server still active? I decided to install Teamspeak 3, and its view was a bit different, but I couldn't connect to mangband.ath.cx... Gonna be using this hopefully in the upcoming weeks for various partying events that may happen.

Re: More artifacts available!
sorry for double post EDIT: The active player thing I mentioned would also be based around max depth; If you weren't somewhere around your max depth, then your time would count for almost nothing. Being about 1000' under or so (depending on your max depth) would add less time, but it would add enoug...

Re: More artifacts available!
When it comes to arts, I'm of the opinion that if you have them, you should be actively playing, and not just logging on to make your character not lose them. So it should be a bit more like 'has spent at least an hour diving in the past x months' instead of 'has logged in once in the past x months'...

Re: Ironman Competition
I think that if it was for just one weekend, the servers would get a little cramped. Also, a week would put all those who had school/work at a greater disadvantage to those who were free. If we want it to be shorter, I'd recommend 2 weeks instead of one. The only time I'm really busy (on vacation in...

Re: Schizophrenic Morgoth?
Morgoth and Atlas look QUITE similar. They both tunnel through walls, are Ps, and are similar dark colors. Morgoth is almost black. Atlas is a little lighter. This is PROBABLY what happened.

Whenever I start a new computer, I purposefully activate all of the 'windows button coronations' so I can get a pop up to turn them off.

Re: An example of Randart generation "gone wrong"
If randarts had more restrictions on them then regular arts did, I don't think it would be too bad... Like, only you can pick up randarts that were generated for your character...
I don't support randarts, I just think that they wouldn't break game balance if they were done right.

Re: Changing flavors
But theirs no real, consistence to the quality of the pots. Like both speed pots and heal pots are purple. Huge difference in the quality there. Allowing the flavors to be set is some way could make everything quite nice.

Or, perhaps, this could even be a player option, which players could change once they ID'd something.

Angband has a rather nice feature which allows you to tell it to 100% ignore whichever items you want to. The way they have it, is 'Ignore X quality or worse of this item' Because of having multiple people on each level in mAngband, and having a max of one item per square, Squlching would have to wo...

Re: More bullet time options
Thought of another few things that could be epic; 'Frozen time' on >/</teleport/recall Time doesn't advance until you hit a button 'Time Scale' Button. Sometimes, you may want things to go slower (ok i'm going to run down this long corridor or fight the tarrasque with low HP), or other times, you ma...

Should it display the monster that killed your human character, or your ghost, or both for non-brave players?

Re: Melee Weapon of Nogrod
The slays aren't really that amazing, since the one slay that really matters for endgame (slay evil) isn't there. I think this crates a nice progression for the EA items. EA, Fury, Nogrod. Nogrods will be a bit rare, and will have the -10 AC, so you can still find a Fury weapon that would be better ...

I...I don't know what to say...that image is just so beautiful.... It makes me wish that I could actually buy the completed set of guidebooks, for the purpose of teaching my friends, and just so that i could have them sit on a shelf... I guess i'll just have to settle for them being free on the inte...
