Re: This one looks like Warriors dead bookless hobbit.
Hehe no problemos. But jeez, gimme a break, Mouth of Sauron at 1250ft :D ... And I'm the only player who's ever been killed by him... (Well Version 1.1.0 ->) I was a bit down, sure, but now I'm up and running again ^^ The character before that one got destroyed by Khamul, the Black Easterling at 140...

Re: (WinXP) Some "unique" resolutions not working correctly.
Sorry if I posted in the wrong section as this might be more of a technical problem than a bug, anyway thanks flamy, I'll try that a bit later.

Re: Item Inscription Guide
Glad I could help :)
I was a bit baffled myself at first when I changed to roguelike commands, but withsome trial and error I found out how it worked :3

...differs from the standard, because inscriptions apparently can't bind roguelike keys. You CAN'T inscribe roguelike keys, but the inscriptions that have normal commands work as the inscriptions are coded differently than the macros. Macros are just keypresses, but inscritions are preprogrammed, s...

That's what I've been thinking about :/Flambard wrote:Thanks guys, great guide, hmm, about rougelike keys/inscriptions, do you think it's a bug? Or is it the same in Angband?

(WinXP) Some "unique" resolutions not working correctly.
Using these parameters: mangclient-sdl --width 1024 --height 600 --fullscreen (I have an eee pc and this is my default resolution). The bug: Mirror screen gets cut at the end (actually start), so information comes a bit late. The Term-4 (chat) isn't seen at all. Solution: In smaller/special height (...

Re: Item Inscription Guide
@Ashi
I use roguelike keys, this is what I do:
You have to use the normal commands for inscribing, even if you use roguelike keys, for example:
Macro for firing: \et1*t (bound on TAB, with roguelike keys)
and then just inscribe the item @f1 (just like with normal keys).

Re: Full list of macro commands
Also perhaps some basic inscriptions, like how to auto-pickup items, how to not drop/sell items by accident and how to Recall to a specific level. (and the targets of macros as in @s) But I guess someone from the community could just type these up in a forum thread, and then others could add to that...

Re: PWMAngband strategy: how to play a Necromancer
Thanks, might drop by some day :) Usually I only play warrior-type classes in roguelikes, but I think a Necromancer really sounds like something I'd like to try .

Re: Improved Partying - opinions needed
You make it sound as if you want to make a guild / clan. I don't think we exactly need anything -too- complex, as you can always delete and recreate a party really fast. Parties are only temporary. But one more thing to add: it would be nice if each party member could customize their own view of the...

Re: Improved Partying - opinions needed
You could perhaps just color the party leader yellow for the other party members? Also I like the idea with having one TERM converted into a party window, for example (picture this on a black background): Agor Thorn 123/123 ThorMag 91/620 *poisoned* Random Someone 90/90 57/101 [#name with the color ...

Re: WinXP / Mangband / Fullscreen / How?
Yea sorry, I meant the SDL client. But can I run it in "real" fullscreen? Or can I just change the SDL client's resolution somehow?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
