Arrows!

Well, I was thinking. Since we are not going to have arrows that come back to you. Maybe we should have one time use breakable arrows. I know to me arrows aren't very expensive and I hate the litter on the ground all the time from them. I would must rather prefer to use one time use arrows then have litter on the ground keeping my monsters from dropping items. I don't know, was a thought I had =).

Or, you could have dropped items destroy/combine arrows

can you clarify your response? I dont mind how arrows work, but yet I dont see the relation to the question.

He just wanted to have fired arrows disappear. Or not?

What I mean is, when an enemy dies, the dropped items would destroy arrows or force them into stacks.
I think the original poster was complaining about how arrows the player has shot don't allow monsters to drop items.
I know most people dont care about reusing arrows, but rangers do with their expensive enchanted ammo, so arrows that automatically break wouldn't be so good for them.

In Angband 3.* this is somewhat handled by the fact that arrows will stack when they hit a floor space already containing an arrow you've fired. As soon as that fix is made, this issue becomes moot.
