Ok Right now pots of life are basically something that you would never use. Even a warrior with max con would rarely ever be able to tell the difference between life and *healing*. That is why I believe they should be buffed. Maybe if you got a killing blow, but you had a pot of life in your inventory, you would auto quaff it, and not die. It shouldn't give you 5k hp in that case. That would just make it TOO exploitable. It should act like a pot of healing, and maybe a scroll of teleportation so that you couldn't exploit it as an autosurvival method against morgoth, and also so that, if you were carrying like 3 of them, you wouldn't lose all of them if you were sucked into the middle of a zoo of concentrated death.

Potions of life are VERY different from potions of *healing* because of one thing: not only they restore your hps to full, but they restore all your stats too. And against morgy, that makes a BIG difference! It will take only one turn to restore both hps and stats (if you don't sustain all the stats of course) instead of two turns if you use *healing* + mushroom of restoring.
