Mailbox

I think Mail box's should be added next to houses so if a player needs to talk to them and they are not on, they could leave a message in the mailbox and the message's would show up like a shop and you could open them by typeing the letter of the message.

the thing is that everyone will have one outside the door. EVERY house. If this goes through the player should have to buy one at a great cost.

Or, you could just let non-players deposit mail via interacting with the door in some way.
Sadly, lots of people have to work/have school. People also live in way different time zones, and like to do other things.
TomeNET lets you directly message ppl's accounts, but I bet the devs don't like that idea, since that is 'too meta' or something. Mail though? Sure.

I am brand new to this game and I live in tokyo. So generally nobody is on when I am. So this idea is a great Idea if I run into people who can help me and they aren't on when I need help then I can leave a question.

We'd need actual accounts first, since characters come and go so easily, but otherwise I wouldn't mind the idea of messaging people directly even when they are offline.
The mailbox by/in your house door may be an even better idea though, as it integrates better with the rest of the game.

I don't really see what there is to dislike about this whole idea, with as few players as we have, easier communication would only be a good thing, right?

pwmang has accounts. Should be easy to implement same feature in mang. Then adding a mailbox and a command to add/view/delete mails should be easy...

I actually like that too. As in a per-house mailbox, not an overarching offline messaging system. Yet, it would be kinda hard to do, with no container-type objects (chests?) and no implementation of piles..
