Market Prices
Market Prices
Can we have a thread or something that says what everyone is selling common items for? I hate having to look around to buy simple things like spellbooks or stat potions. Also, I don't know what to charge people for different items.
Re: Market Prices
I typically sell most things for what I think I can get for them, not what I think most people will pay, so my prices will usually be higher than many others.
Speed ring + 10 = 1M
This is a pretty old "standard" which I think both sellers and buyers accept, some will obviously sell them for less though.
Items that give high resists; The useful high resists sell for a lot more than the useless ones (As in, Nether will usually always sell for a lot and light will usually not sell for much).
Aman cloaks: Depending on high, AC and stealth of course. The greastest Aman cloaks with popular highs and high AC maybe as much as a million or two, less popular, low AC and low stealth cloaks may be closer to their base price.
Avari shields: The top +2 Avari shields with great highs I'll sell for two or three millions, occasionally higher. Lower AC +1 shields with less useful highs will be sold t base price.
Istari gloves: The top Istari gloves, +3 with good AC and useful highs will sell much like the Avari shields. The less useful ones will sell closer to their base price.
Orcish shields: Base price.
Might crowns: 100-500k, depending on AC and stat bonus.
Mirkwoods: Base price ~
Speed boots: +9 or +10 boots, 4-5-6M or thereabout. Then scale it down until +5 or so, after that, base price.
Serenity Crown/Other fancy Angband cloaks. Usually base price or base price x 2,3,4,5 for some perhaps.
Kolla: Base price.
Lordly Resistance: Low price.
Gondolin: Base price or Base x 2,3,4,5 perhaps depending on power.
Trickery Amulets, +4's sell for a lot, +3's sell for 4-5-600k at least probably.
Damage rings: +14 and up sell for from 50-100k perhaps.
To be continued.

Re: Market Prices
My broken market prices;
I give super low prices, unless I can't because then I would never have anything in stock.
I also give lower prices to lower lvl characters, and higher prices to higher lvl characters (if they ask) because I want all characters to have a chance to get stuff.
Speed rings are so common that they should be ubber cheap at lowish prices, and exponentially increase in price, as with their rarity.
+9 for 150k. +10 for 400k. +11 for 800k. +12 for 2mil (prices adjusted based on how many the market has)
High resist items;
Base price, unless you think its OP, and you don't want it to sell right away. Like nether elvenkinds.
Dragon Scail Males;
Basic DSMs should sell for the price they sell to 2 for. The single and double high resist DSMs should all sell for just about base price.
Ballance DSM gets expensive. I try to be nice and sell mine for 'only' 2 mil in this market.
Power DSM... you should be very careful to sell.
Aman Cloaks;
I sell almost all of these at base price. If the have a horrible resist, i'll probably just toss them.
If they have epic AC, i consiter it to be a bonus that will make it sell faster.
If they have an epic resist, i may increase the price. But not by a ton 2 or 3x at most.
Avari shields;
I put these at base price. UNLESS it has nether, or some resist that I know some rich person needs. Then I make them pay for it ;)
Istaris;
Same thing as avari shields. Low price, unless you need to price gouge.
Might crowns;
I keep +3s in stock and cheap (never more than 150k), since they can be a rather key item for low and high lvl characters.
Serenity Crown/Other fancy Angband cloaks;
Base price. Sometimes lower or higher if standard price is broken.
Kolla;
Below base price, unless it is {excelent}. Then I go above. Sometimes EXCEDINGLY above. A nice Kolla of Aman +2 {nether} is worth several million.
Gondolins;
These are worth nothing if they don't have ESP in my book. If they have esp, then theyr worth 2x player shop price i guess.
Trickerys;
I have elastic price on +4s depending on how many I have. If i just have 1, then its 1.5mil. If i have 2, then i'll sell for 1mil.
+3s always sell {for sale}
Damage rings;
+14s are {for sale}
+15s are 30k
+16s are 100k
+17s are 1mil (by request only)
Lothlorian bows;
base shop price, unless they have hold life (2x price) epic damage output (price unknown...) or esp (at least 10x price)
Numenor shooters;
These should be sold for less than base shop price.
Stat rings;
I sell +6 stat rings for around 30k, depending on how many I have in stock. GLORY TO THE RNG!
Speed boots;
I make these {for sale}, cus they just don't feel like they sell fast enough if they aren't. If they have low +s, i'll just sell them to 2.
Mirkwoods;
Base price.
ESP helm;
100k
Magi or Lordly ESP helm;
150k for +1 i guess. I'd probably sell a +3 for between 200 and 500k.
Me and warrior do not agree on prices very much ;)
I may add more items later as well.

Re: Market Prices
I always sell stuff at base price (inscribed for sale), except items I consider having bugged prices:
- stat rings: 500 gold * item bonus * item bonus (18k for a +6 ring)
- dam rings: I never keep any except +17 (roughly 100k)
- speed rings: +1 to +9 go in shop 6 (buy them there if you see me in town, +10 for 1M, then depending on how many I have (probably 2M for +12 then another 1M per +)
- lordly res: all go in shop 2 (too common, overpriced)
- item with abilities (gondolin, blessed, *slay evil*, terken, lordliness): all go in basic shop except ESP items which go 50k for weapons and 150k for crowns/amulets
- amulets of regen: 4 or 5k (for a small profit)

You will find many of those anywhere. Very common house item, and usually sold at base price (24k).

Re: Market Prices
However, a lot of people will sell you them for half of that if you ask them ;)
Right now, stat pots sell for about 12k if you ask people. Maybe a little less.
I don't sell stat pots, but a lot of other people do ;)
