Video Q for Warrior or someone...

I would like to make videos with my Mangband stuff. Which program do you use, Warrior, and how do you set it to record? Is it possible to record all the windows, or just the main one?

This is probably a different format than what Warrior uses, but you can make WMV's using Windows Media fairly easily. You can use Windows Media Encoder to record a window, a region of the screen, or the full screen. If you need to do any editing, you can use Windows Movie Maker which may come with Windows, although I am not sure what kind of quality it can generate.

Trial version of Snagit http://www.techsmith.com/download/snagittrial.asp

I think it was virtualdub to mix it. Audacity is great for doing the audio and/or attaching music.

Wow, how'd I miss this thread, sorry :(

I use Snagit to record and VirtualDub to mix it. Talk to me in the game next time you see me and I'll give you some suggestions :)
With Snagit you can record anything you chose, region of the screen, one window, several windows, two monitors, without the mouse pointer, etc etc.

I just made a recording, an VirtualDub wants to make the 3 minute video file a whooping 2 GB file... How do I reduce this? I was hoping I could mail it to you Warrior to show how it's done to lvl a mage quickly.
