Hello tacogrande. We support 64bit in theory, but we have a very limited set of computers to produce binaries during the time of release. Basicly, it's a community effort, and you're more then welcome to join. Secondly, there is already a .deb package in our svn, you might want to check it out. It is not good, and if you feel like improving on it, you're more then welcome. Lastly, please do not submit MAngband to Ubuntu repositries, we handle the situation, and there are some issues both we and their maintainers are aware of, that are to be resolved, before MAngband can be added there.
If you'd like to discuss it in more detail (and I would like that very much), please drop by our IRC channel.

Ok, thanks for the reply, i did make a .deb but the icon when clicking on it hangs the sdl window so it has to be opened via terminal. Ill do a check out with the svn and see what i can find and leave the package submissions to the team ;)
