New Cheezband Server not reporting to Metaserver

Post by kyledj » Sat 27.02.2010, 00:33

Hello,

Ankleteeth and I used to run the Cheezband server, for all those people who despise a real challenge, and have decided to get it going again. There is a small hiccup, however: the server is not reporting to the metaserver. I have the flag in the cfg set to true, and the bind setting is appropriate, so I am not entirely sure what is happening.

Any suggestions?

I have tried both. Currently it is running with a domain in the bind option

Well, apparently it just takes a while. The server is now up.

EDIT: No, apparently it was my stupidity. Ankle let me know I had a typo in the mangband.cfg. Nothing to see here.

It's up now.
Just a little reminder here: in the source code (netserver.c), in Report_to_meta(), the server description MUST follow a strict format, or the server won't show on the meta. Format is: (server host name) Number of players: (number of players) Names: (player names) Version: 1.1.2 (extra info)
