The Young multi-hued dragon grunts with pain.
You failed to get the spell off!
You failed to get the spell off!
The Young multi-hued dragon casts a fearful illusion.
You are terrified!
You failed to get the spell off!
You failed to get the spell off!
The Young multi-hued dragon breathes lightning.
You die.
That is the most unlucky death I've ever seen... I don't know what's the spell that failed 4 times in a row, but it failed at a really bad moment :(

Hehe. That was me. I tried teleport away. Faillure rate was 30% or so. Because I didn't have lows, I should've teleported instead, but I was diving EXTREMELY fast, even for me. I plundered "The Pastors" leftovers, then went shopping, then went crazy diving without any resists at all. Was just an attempt t have fun, but I died to a young dragon instead. Shit happens.

The Chaos hound breathes chaos.
You die.
Monster nests (zoos and undead nests) are really dangerous because of two things: kill_wall and tele_to monsters. Umber hulks for zoos and black reavers for undead nests will open the walls for the character to be in LOS of many (and maybe all) monsters inside the nest. Quylthulgs for zoos and drujs for undead nests will teleport the character in the middle of the nest. In both cases, it's almost everytime an instant death. For that reason, high nests should be avoided unless you know exactly what you are doing.

Lol... this is quite an unlucky teleport. From impact hounds RIGHT next to a death mold...

Greed killed me again again again. I should've *destructed* the vault instead of trying to get those nice items inside...

But on the other side, it does take a few gnomes to keep a death mold satisfied and gorged. We need more to play sacrificial gnomes, so it isn't always my characters. HEH!

Another death by failing to use a tele staff...
However, I see a lot of players quaffing CCW against stuff that do way more damage than a CCW can cure. Remember that quaffing will take a turn, so you should quaff a CCW only when you want to remove a bad effect (like blindness, poison or confusion) or when you know that you will benefit from that CCW with a HP increase. In the above situation, you need to quaff a heal... or simply end the fight.

I tried ending the fight, but just 10-20 second prior, my wand of teleport other was destroyed. I wasn't trying tele-staff, because I didn't have one. I was quaffing CCW's trying to buy a bit of time while thinking. Yeah it wasn't a wise move, but I'm so unused to playing warriors that it's to be expected, hehe. I guess instead of F5 (teleport-scroll), I hit F4 (staff of speed). And thus, I died.

Morgoth, Lord of Darkness invokes a mana storm.
Morgoth, Lord of Darkness casts a mana bolt.
You die.
Nice try... but unlucky to get double mana spell in a row. Can't wait to see what will be done with the time bubble feature (1.2)... it should fix the problem here, where the difference between life and death just relies on how fast you can press macro keys.

A fight with Gorlim without res confusion... and with 183 hps. Very brave :)
Hard to kill that guy with the 4 basic books too. The only thing that can harm him is fire... and you probably tried to acid bolt him.
