Does anyone know what happened to Crimson and Berendol?

Most likely they fell into the deep, dark hole of "I have more important real-life things to do."

You can always get ahold of Crimson and myself via e-mail. Our addresses should always be listed in our member profiles.

DServ seems to be down, and it's 300 miles away. I'll be making a trip out to get it in the next couple weeks but it probably won't be online again for awhile.

What happened to me? I can't work on the server until it's online or at my house. I'm working from home, starting a business with some friends, so it's not like I couldn't work on it whenever I wanted to. (Due to a certain contract, I can't tell you what the product is until it is ready to sell.) I'd rather rewrite the whole game than continuing my hacks on the existing codebase. See my numerous posts about inefficiencies and poor code. It would be cool to work on the game some more. But, I discovered Ragnarok Online about two weeks ago, and my brand new Radeon 9600 Pro complements it quite nicely... silky-smooth 3D at 1280x1024. It's worth the $12/month to play for sure. It's a whole heck of a lot better than MAngband to me, so I'll release my sources when I can, then everyone can feel free to tweak it and stuff. Add onto that the fact that I lost the sources and binaries to my numerous Windows utilities not on my website, and you've got a bit of a challenge to get me back to work on the game. I suppose that if someone wanted to pay me $200/week to work on the game full time, I'd do it.
