Yikes! Things are looking a bit wonky - the metaserver, at present, is showing most servers by their numerical address. And, ta boot, I keep getting dropped on isengard. Just me?

Hmm, wierd. Metaserver and Isengard still wacky this evening as well. Are both the metaserver and the isengard server hosted at the same spot?

I believe that isengard and the metaserver are two different machines.
The metaserver is running on the same physical machine as the web server, which appears to be functioning properly, which leads me to the unsurprising conclusion that there may be a tiny flaw in its programming, which makes it unstable under some condition, which would indeed bring down public MAngband servers.
As far as I know, the two machines are located in the same NOC (read: building) but MAngband isn't their primary function. Isengard used to be Rohnan used to be something else which was a mail server, and it lagged every day around midnight as the automatic maintenance and spam started.
I know... useless trivia that didn't help... yeah, yeah...
