LOS(Line Of Sight)

Could someone explain to me, how do I create so called "Line Of Sight" for an ascii based game with Turbo Pascal(better for 7.0 but others are OK) PLS? I've tried to find it in the net but i found it just for C++ and I can't get it anywhere.
